Helen and I have been in the photography business for over thiry five years, doing portraits, weddings, commercial and special event photography. We have operated studios in Manhattan, KS, Europe and now here in Laurel, MS.I have studied photography with the Institute of Photography and while in Europe apprenticed myself to two photographers to learn their style of portraiture. I spent three years working and studying under Hans Braun a Master Portrait and Wedding photographer and 3 years with Ron Rodec, a Master Photographer specializing in Fashion and Portfolio work.
I am currently a member in good standing with both the Professional Photographers of America and Wedding and Portrait Photographers, International.
Helen has assisted me in all of these endeavors and has been working as my assistant since we arrived in Laurel in 1992. She has an excellent eye for detail and the little things that make your portraits exciting and special.
We both love meeting people (see what others have said about us) and our goal is always to capture your special moments for a lifetime of memories.

All photographic collections include wedding day coverage by David and Helen in their easy style, blending posed images with those candid shots that show just how wonderful your wedding day was. Though we offer a number of suggested packages, most couples like to pick and choose (customize) their wedding plan based upon their unique desires.

Pricing begins at only $ 499 for complete wedding day coverage up $ 2200 for the couple who wants everything.
All weddings include a CD with all of the photographs made at your wedding and your complimentary engagement and bridal session along with a full copyright relase.
The Cameo series is our canvas wrap series and is our finest product. This series includes complete image and print enhancements of your portraits done to your specifications. Your images are then carefully mounted on our finest artist canvas and sprayed with a protective coating for that very elegant look. If you are seeking the ultimate in custom color portraiture, the "Cameo Series" is your logical choice.
The "Prestige Series" is our better portrait and a very excellent print. The Cameo Series portrait possesses all the special photographic techniques you have come to expect from a portrait by David Lawson. These portraits are mounted and are sprayed with a protective finish
The "Economy series is our basic portrait series. It is a very good portrait that possesses all the special photographic techniques you have come to expect from Cameo Portraits with no enhancements.
