Since 1924, Hite Photo in Bloomfield Hills and West Bloomfield, Michigan has specialized in producing superior prints for both hobbyists and professional photographers. Our expert team has always been at the forefront of innovation and technology in photofinishing, starting by professionally processing film (which we still do!) when first founded in Detroit.
Meet Don, Co-Owner of Hite Photo Studios and 3rd generation Hite. He's our Tech Specialist and continuously works to improve our systems to get Hite customers the best products possible. I recently had the pleasure of working with Julia at Hite Photo on a custom piece of my precious little nugget. Let me just say, her Photoshop skills are out of this world! Julia made the entire creative process, from ideation to implementation, completely seamless and fun. She is a true creative at heart and the customer service she provided was top notch. I have never felt more heard and taken care of in my entire life. I highly recommend Hite Photo for any custom photo or printing needs.

The owner and staff here offer refreshingly honest and helpful customer service. I've been there multiple times to transfer old videos, blow up photos etc. and twice, the staff told me that they can definitely help me with whatever project I brought in, but that there is an easy, cost effective DIY way. They saved me a good deal of money! I recommend them 100%!

OMG Tom Hite you are the rudest individual. You should not have anything to do with the public. You are better off staying in back! I was one of three women that entered the west bloomfield store with questions. You treated all of us so rudely that one of the women actually asked you "why are you treating me like this, I came to you because I have questions" These days with the pandemic no one actually wants to come into a store unless we HAVE to!

The best photo place ever! They have helped me out so much with all my photo needs; from helping me do photo boards for my son's graduation, to restoring photos for my brother's funeral that I needed in a rush! They are kind, very helpful and passionate about photography and their customers. I'm not the most technical person at all, but they always help me without making me feel incompetent!

I went to Hite Photo to get prints made from some very old negatives; they were to be a present for my mom for Mother's Day. The Hite staff were friendly and helpful from the start. Ashley took my order and made my pictures. She went out of her way to make sure they were done before closing. In all ways her service and kindness were above and beyond, and I was very pleased with the prints and photo disc I received.
The pictures looked great, in spite of coming from such old, battered negatives. I intend to go back to Hite Photo for any other photo business I need and I highly recommend them.

I have lived here for years and didn't realize we had Hite services right next to my market! My daughter needed disposable cameras for a hiking trip and they gave me excellent advice to just go next door to RiteAid and buy the Fuji because those were as good as it gets. After the trip, I brought the cameras back to Hite because they do NOT mail them out like a drugstore would and they produce the best possible pictures. and I also needed both the pics and a CD and they had it done in just a few hours.
The pics came out amazing for disposable cameras! I couldn't believe it. Also, while in Hite, I noticed how many photo gifts they have available, some of which I have not seen on Shutterfly or SnapFish.

Hite Photo is 5 stars plus! Fabulous service, knowledgeable staff and helpful. And I felt more than fair pricing. I needed help with one photo & they solved my problem - fabulous finished product. They are busy now because of holidays but I did not wait more than a few minutes & they had everything I ordered ready in about a little over an hour. Impressive!

5 star experience awesome customer service, amazing help and good deals! I got a 40x40 gallery wrap which was amazing quality and an affordable price. They also have a deal going on for video tape transfers i brought in 40 of them and got 30% off! I recommend this place to my mother and she got an awesome deal on old negative and slides transferred to a DVD and they are one of the only places left that still do an amazing job in developing film. I highly recommend them, check them out!

Exceptionally poor customer service. I visited the store and there was only one employee assisting a customer. The employee did not have the courtesy to acknowledge or welcome me to the store, and even after waiting 10 minutes (visibly waiting on employee service) he still didn't acknowledge or indicate he'll assist once he's finished with his customer.
After 10 minutes I left the store and called to inquire about photo service, also mentioning I was just in the store waiting for service. The employee was very abrupt and rude on the phone. I can't attest to the quality of photo services at Hite, but I can attest to my experience with the total lack of customer service.
