Just went here for my Canadian passport photo. I like Hrayr for his professional knowledge on the requirements of the photos. Nice service. Thanks.

PLEASE DO NOT CHOOSE THIS PLACE! I had taken my kids photo for passport. My kid was very co-operative and it was just a 15 mins work and he told me its $31 for kids and for 2 copies only and addition copies will be of the same cost of $31 for 2 again. $62 for 4 copies of photo is crazy. I have a feeling I have been cheated. the other place that I enquired like Foto Express, Portent etc gave me an estimate of $20 for fist 2 and additional $3 for 2 copies. this was the maximum estimate received. I have been cheated for close to $40 which is atrocious. PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT CHOOSE THIS PLACE!

I get my Canadian passport pictures done here every 5 years and it's easy peasy. He knows the specs, produces the pictures quickly and I have never had a problem. If you need Canadian passport photos done, don't go anywhere else. Call ahead, make a quick appointment and you're set!

Wish I could give zero. Daughter took EU passport pictures. They were done incorrectly at the price of $62! Daughter had to drive over an hour to get here. She went back to have them retaken, but did not realize she needed to bring the old photos. She offered to mail them over. Owner was rude to her and frightened her. I called to ask him to refund money, he refused. was very rude on phone. Kept arguing that his photos do not get rejected. I spoke personally with the Consulate who said BOTH ears had to show. On top of that.$62 for 4 passport photos is ridiculous. DO NOT GO HERE!

Rare option to take Canadian passport specification photos. I've been here three times now (myself and my two kids) and all photos accepted by Canada passport without question. The studio is a bit ramshackle but he got the job done.

If you're looking for a serious place to get some passport photos, save your time and money and go elsewhere. Had to pass on this place when photographer did not keep our scheduled appointment time. Seems like he does not need my business. Glad I passed as the price quoted was double what I ended up paying. Heard he also refuses to give receipts, which doesn't seem very legit. If it's foreign passport photos you need, the embassy/consulate website will have a list of photographers. This is one to avoid.

I had Canadian passport photos done here. The guy has a studio in his house, don't let the exterior deter you. He has a very professional setup with all the lighting gizmos. He then photoshops the picture to remove shadows and even has the proper photoshop templates to size your face to the requirements for Canadian passports (and other countries). I had no problems renewing my passport. Accepts cash only. Guarantees the photo, if rejected, he will retake it for free.

Needed to take Canadian passport photos, which have different size specifications from the regular passport photos. Fast and friendly service. The photos were good and were accepted. Cash only but I don't care, why would you?

I owe this guy big time. He's the only place I could find in the Bay area that knows how to take a proper Biometric photo for a German visa. Great service, high quality product, lightening fast turnaround. He even used a caliper to show me that the picture met the German government's strict standards. Thanks! PS I'm so satisfied, I'm inspired to break the ice reviewing on Yelp - about time!

From my experience, I strongly do NOT recommend this place. We were looking for a place that took infant photos for canadian passport and citizenship. The place is locked and you have to knock to have someone open the door. The cost for each set of photo is 28$ which I found very expensive. He also asked that we pay up front and took cash-only. At this point, I should have walked away, but I didn't :| Since they do not have a setting for infant pictures, they had to 'photoshop' the pictures to remove my hands ( which were holding the baby ).

On the photo, you can tell that the picture have been 'photoshopped'. The worse is that on the photo specifications sheet it says "unalthered photographs", "photos produced from the same untouched negative"! All in all, I really regret my decision and wish I listened to my instinct and walk away.

Do not go there. The interior is worse then the outside. It is cash only. He refuses to give an itemized receipt. He doesn't even keep a carbon copy for his records, hhhmmmm. tax evasion much? Perhaps I've watched too many day time court shows, but when paying cash I always ask for a receipt. When I asked for an itemized receipt, he became rude.

He said he gives a guarantee, when I said that was wonderful, and if I could see it in writing, it became obvious he was bluffing. He finally asked, "Look, do you want these or not?" I ended up walking out without paying and with no photos. Do not go there.

I went to H.M. Photography because it is listed on the Internet as offering to take passport photos for a certain country that I rather not name. Save yourself $25 and go to a local drug store as they do a better job and for cheaper. The 2 passport photos I received were dark and had a yellowish background. When I reviewed them, I was concerned because I had read the instructions for a valid passport photo and I was doubtful these would be acceptable.

I asked if the dark photo and off-white background would be OK and he said "Oh. they are fine! I haven't had a problem before". Well. I should have trusted my guts as those photos were rejected at the passport office. Thankfully, I was able to scramble and go to a nearby photo store for another set of passport photos by folks who actually know what they are doing. BTW, he only accepts cash and gave no receipt.

If I had charged them to my credit card, I could reject the charges since I couldn't use the photos and had to retake them (and for much cheaper). And no, I didn't take the photos back to confront him - he doesn't seem like the type who is wiling to accept fault. In short, maybe you can go to them for wedding photos but don't go to them for passport photos or you'll regret your decision. Update: They now also go by the name of HorizonMark or Horizon Mark.

This is about my fifth trip to get photos done here. Since I have two passports, and need Visa photo's, the differing sizes and shapes that are required for these official documents is daunting. The shop is located across the road from the Falafal Drive Inn, another reason to stop by;- I had 4 photos taken today, 2 for my passport and 2 for another document.

Total price was $50.07, time spent was about 15 mins. I can't say enough about have a quality passport photo that is guaranteed to be accepted by a particular country. Having been down this road before with my other passport picture that was not accepted is not a place I want to revisit.

When I saw that they were operating out of a house in a bad part of SJ, I should have listened to the little voice inside my head and turned around. Instead, I convinced myself it was some highly skilled photo enthusiast who was trying to make a living off of his hobby. I was only going in for passport photos so how bad could it be? Well, those passports photos came out red-pushed and blurry. Next, I did the smart thing and went to the photo counter at a Costco.

They had a cheap digital camera and took a few shots. I picked the one I wanted and they printed them out. I think I paid $18 for 4 pictures, which was cheaper than the $25 Horizon Mark charged.
