I have enjoyed holding a camera in my hands for as long as I can remember. I also love meeting people. I am so lucky that I can put those two things together and capture memories.

My first camera was a Kodak 110. Who remembers those? I would take pictures of everything. I advanced to using other type cameras. I have learned that a camera does not make me a photographer - it makes me an owner of a camera. However, my love for the art and capturing the moments of time is what makes me what I am.

My husband and I have three wonderful daughters and one grandson. They have been my *models* for their lifetime. Not always willingly! When I retired from my State of Tennessee job about six years ago, I decided to devote more time to my hobby of photography. A friend, who had seen my work, asked if I would shoot her wedding. I did shoot it and that very decision was the beginning of Hollie Marie Photography.
