I excel at interior and exterior architectural photography, and also specialize in commercial and industrial photography. I often work for architects, contractors, interior designers, and art directors on location and by assignment, generally in the Pacific Northwest: Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Alaska.
With my Customer Choice Photography, or CCP for short, I offer a budget minded approach to professional architectural photography. For a set fee I will consult with you and photograph a project or projects. The beauty of CCP is that many pictures will be taken, then you will have a choice of which ones to include in your purchase package.
This column of text is going to be my forum. In days of old, the Roman Empire days that is, towns were designed with plazas at the intersection of major roads. The plaza served as a meeting place, or forum, where the Roman citizens would gather to socialize and speak their mind. Well, I'll speak my mind here, in these columns which are my forum.
Evening light is a delight for any photographer, but during that time when the light is at a low angle is a wonderful time for an architectural photographer to capture the shape and angles of his subject. The low sun will create long shadows, though, and often there is no way to remove them. The only option left then to make a good architectural photograph is to place the shadows in a good spot to use them to your advantage. The entry shot on this award winning school posed the problem with the flags.
