Ug. I had to sign up for yelp just to leave this review. I never leave reviews because I usually give people the benefit of the doubt. This company is just bad. I don't think they worry about dealing with customers directly because the schools use them. They are probably the lowest price contractors which get them school business (and it blatantly shows).

I emailed them because we ordered school photos. I had to email twice to get a response. The response was very unprofessional and basically said it hadn't been a month since my order so I should be getting them in a few weeks. Well, it's over a month now and I'm still waiting. No tracking info, have no idea if and when I'll get my sons pictures. :)

Gilbert Public Schools, please stop using Lou Coopey. I purchased the digital photo only in September online. After not seeing it for over a week, I ask when I may receive it. I am told "the download information will be sent to the school in approx 30 days". Odd a digital order I did directly with Lou Coopey routes back through the school? Highly confusing and inefficient.

Over 45 days later, I email and ask where my single, digital photo is. I am told the school received it a few weeks ago. I ask for the photo via email and a code for their web site is sent. Within 24 hours I use the code and it does not work. I email again and they finally send me over email. A few days ago (five months after the photo was taken), my child gives me the same, incorrect info to log onto the site to access the photo I already have.

This could be 100% my child's delay which I understand. But please know that more than half of my experiences with ordering from this company have been way more confusing than they should be. I am not sure who they are greasing at Gilbert Public Schools, but doing business with a 1.5 star company on Yelp who doesn't defend themselves is not something Great Hearts or Basis would allow. Sorry for all other parents out there who are trapped for their school pictures.

We had to come here for Dobson High School year book senior pictures. It's the worst. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST! The "photographers" are kids. If you have an appointment expect to wait at least an hour. They skipped my kids name but insisted that they called her name even though we were anxiously waiting for these idiots to call her name. It's absolutely disgusting that MPS forces their seniors to come to this shit show of an establishment to get their senior photos. I will go to the next school board meeting to discuss this matter. This studio is a total joke of a business.

I would not recommend this studio. The only reason we used them is that the high school mandated it for my son's senior picture for the yearbook. All of the photographers appeared to be about 16 years old and I was not super impressed with the proofs at all. But since we bought a suit and tie and took the time for the photo shoot I opted to buy a few pictures ($300 worth).

The website said turnaround time was about a month but it took two months for them to call me to say that they were ready. I verified the hours they were open and when I showed up the following day The studio was closed. I sat there for about 45 minutes before giving up. This was on Wednesday, September 22. I showed up just after 9 and finally left at 9:45 AM when it was obvious no one was going to be opening the studio anytime soon.

The hours on the door & website state Tuesday - Saturday 9 to 5. I spoke with the mailman while I was waiting and even he said oh they open whenever they want to. If I ever get my photo order, I can only hope the quality is better than how they run their business and the rest of my experience has been with this studio. I will be emailing the school about my experience as well.

Meh. I should've done the free high school picture day. Picture day was mass confusion. We didn't know what to wear and as it turns out there's a guide for each school. We were way off! When we got to Lou Coopey-- we weren't sure where to go and no one was available to help us. We got in the senior picture line and no one even acknowledged us for 45 minutes.

We did get our pictures back almost immediately but not with the promised promo code so we did have to request that! I tried calling and everything goes straight to voicemail. There's no option to talk to anyone. With more communication things could be so different. I don't know how this place stays open.

I had dealings with this photography company for the past several years (not by my choice) and I can attest that staff do not return voicemails from parents or school staff, rarely respond to emails, and do not send photos in a timely manner (breaking contract). I also have experienced unprofessional behavior from their staff members, including lying and name-calling. My list of their incompetency is long, but I'll keep this short. I do not recommend them for anyone.

They are ok. I feel they don't put much care into making good pictures. In the past we always had to do re-dos As for Senior pictures.the poses aren't all the ones we hoped for and seemed rushed and was surprised how busy it was today even with appointment. Sr pictures took less then 15 minutes

These people try their hardest to make things right! I received a message that my pictures where done. I arrived to only having half of them ready. I waited in the lobby while they hurried and reprinted the lost ones. They felt so bad that they are helping me out with graduation pictures. The pictures that I ordered where beautiful! A very happy customer

Despite a previous verbal confirmation via phone call and the fact that there is no written disclosures on any of the receipts or paperwork or promo ads, we were told today that we could not use our $40 deposit in conjunction with the current running "specials". We would have to wait until the specials ended to use our $40 deposit. This said, I suggest not putting any money down if you are required to use this company. Also, you can see the background in many of the pictures we had to select from. Lastly, like others mentioned, we cannot order cap and gown pics because we do not have access to the proofs and graduation is quickly approaching

Great photographers. A bit of an issue telling san tan foothills students what studio to go to, but it was fixed and it was great. Fast service. I reccomend getting the $40 deal for senior photos. Proof book was waiting for us before we left. You get a $ 50 credit for purchases.

I'm in agreement with the other parents here. I had scheduled a retake but ultimately decided not to go back. One, the pictures were grainy. Two, my son had on a long sleeve shirt that showed at the cuff. I would think a photographer would have the eye to catch those things. Lastly, the cost.you're paying nearly $100 for ONE pose. The cap and gown is not an option to purchase until spring.

I went with Sumi West Photography. Her pkg includes 2 outfits and 1 hour session, digital upload of photos at $175, having access to ALL photos taken. Her photos are clear and crisp.

What a horrible experience! When my daughter took her senior pictures, it was a great experience. Got to go back and look. They had cap and gown and the drape so all the seniors looked alike. This place you can't watch the pictures being taken. Got the Proofs Back they aren't even really centered. 79 for one look then I still didn't see the cap and gown?

I was told that will be at a latter date. Which I assume will be even more expensive. I honestly won't buy any and will have someone take them outside of this studio! So sad it should be a fun experience.

First of all, it's all part of the "Senior Experience". Just sit back and enjoy the cheesiness that surrounds you! We went in with low expectations and thankfully they were exceeded. 1. Book an appointment first thing in the morning, we did and had little to no wait. 2. Pay the $40 and choose the yearbook picture online, that way you don't have to go back.

And you get the little proof book. Even if you end up not using the $40 credit, consider it the cost of the little book-it's a keepsake and a hilarious reminder of her session. I've spent $40 on way worse things. 3. The cap and gown pictures will be offered to you in the spring, you will also receive many coupons and discount offers via email. Don't worry too much about spending that $50 "voucher" right away, they will try to entice you to use it later. 4. Yes, it's corny.

Very corny, but we had a mother/daughter bonding experience over laughing so much. 5. Our photographer was sweet, and we had to laugh when he posed my daughter with a sunflower and said her that pose was for her grandma. He even asked us to sign a release so he could use my daughters picture to "update" some of the pictures on the wall. This had us laughing!

When we turned the release in at the front desk the young lady turned to another employee and said "Is he going to give these out to EVERYONE today?!" We laughed even harder-way to flatter us! Grain of salt people, grain of salt.

And then they try to sell the cap and gown photos in the spring. $50 for an 8x10. Upon closer inspection of the stuff we bought in the fall, the quality is pretty bad. Grainy and out of focus. Not worth the money at all! This studio leaves a very bad taste in the mouth.

We had our daughters senior pictures taken mid fall of 2018. The pictures included head shots for the yearbook, fun senior shots and cap/gown pics. We got her proofs back late January and there were no shots of the cap/gown. Not only that, but the prices for the headshots were astronomical! Of course, we ordered done because we wanted pictures for family and friends. Got the order in and we were shorted a few prints.

I called and they sent replacements. Fine. Next, I receive another set of proofs to order a separate cap/gown picture. I'm confused because the shoot was the same day, yet I have to buy a second package just to get one cap/gown picture; that is not even full length.in order to complete my daughters announcements? It was one appointment! All of the shots should have been offered in one package. I'm now at over $400! And, I won't get the cap/gown prints for four more weeks.

At this point, I would receive the cap/gown prints 2 weeks before graduation that I need to send out a month before graduation to insure my out of state relatives can book flights/hotels etc. So, I order online and start worrying about timing. I decide to show up in person on a Saturday hoping that maybe LC can simply burn a CD that I can go and print somewhere to make my deadlines.

After much back and forth with one willing and one non-willing employee, I ask to speak with the manager. I swear this was the response, "I can't bring our manager out as we've had many complaints that he's rude to customers, so let me go and talk with him". I literally looked around to see if there were cameras and I was being punked! Finally, she reluctantly comes back with a disk.

I purchase the disk with an additional RUSH charge of $10. Seriously? I cannot believe that schools are going through this unprofessional company that overcharges and is extremely unethical. This is such a racket and really took away from a time that should be happy and memorable. Very disappointing!

They took pretty nice photos but the prices are outrageous. $69 for 1 pose. I chose the option to pick up since they wanted to charge for shipping. Of course you won't get your order for at "least" 30 days from the date you purchased it. I asked if there was any way it would be done sooner as I am wanting to get my daughters graduation annoucements out.

Of course for a rush fee! Dear Lou Coopey, I only bought the one pose because I really liked it but $69, Really. The rest of my daughters Senior pictures were done by a great photographer who charged me a flat rate that included the photographers time and all of the photos on a CD that were done on a location of my choice. You took a nice picture of my daughter with a white background and charged me $69 plus tax. I will make sure I take my concerns to the school.

This place is huge. I thought it was going to be a small studio. The staff were friendly. When we went to pick out a senior picture we were told to go to the desk and ring the bell. We rang it twice and no one came. I had to find someone to ask when someone was coming. Other than that, it was a good experience. Would be nice to have a check in kiosk or tablets to fill out the intake forms but no biggie.

Like everyone else, we were required to go here for our daughter's Sr photos. When we walked in, there was utter confusion on the part of the young kids working. The place was jam packed with "standing room only." After thoroughly examining a weird podium in the center of the room with a pen on it for some sign of what to do, another parent stepped in to tell us we were actually supposed to check in with the computer station to the right of the main lobby.

We did - and then waited. After about 35 minutes a young girl asked if we had signed in and filled out the required paperwork (required paperwork?). After we were given that, we stood around for another 30 minutes.when another young girl asked if we had another other outfits. Since we didn't she says, "Oh! You guys can totally go upstairs, it will be way quicker." We head upstairs, followed closely by a whole slew of parents/kids that overheard that comment (many who had been there before us!).

Once we got upstairs, it took about 15 minutes to get our photos done - if you don't include the camera breaking upstairs and then having to go back downstairs to finish things up. We finally got to see our proofs and WOW. Saying they are awful would be a compliment. Of the 9 shots: 3 of them have the camera crooked - the table, her - everything is slightly tilted.

Another three have the edge of the background showing on 3 sides. Of the 3 remaining, she is 1) holding her ear (why?), 2) leaning way forward (because looking like you're sitting on a toilet is a good thing?), and 3) leaning to the right, while tilting her head way over to the left (just - WHY?). It took 2 hours+ and I even spent the dang $40 to NOT have to come back to that place to review the proofs - which I had hoped to use towards a purchase of something (which will not be happening). Total waste of time and money.

If I could leave 0 stars I would! The most unprofessional experience I've ever encountered! Booked an appointment for 1 and called 2 hours before to make sure everything was set so we could get in and out. They told us on the phone it would take 5-10min but when we arrived a whole entire school had just shown up and we got put behind them even though they didn't have an appointment!

We waited for close to two hours. I understand accidents happen but they showed no remorse and did nothing to accommodate. This business should be shut down. So confused why so many schools use this company.

Seriously, with these reviews how is this business still open? Other than it being the closest to his school I don't know why this was the required location for my son's senior photos. Having an appointment time means nothing. You'd be just as well going in whenever & waiting. *Shrugs* Most of the staff was friendly, but the old man photographer was arguing with a kid about where the kid goes to school (as if the kid doesn't know) and then completely jacked up the kid's photos.

The mom showed me the pics of her two boys as we were leaving the building, crazy poses & in one photo the kid's glasses were completely crooked ( like not even on his ear crooked )Then they wanted her to wait another 45 min for them to do retakes. My personal experience/ the experience with my kid was pretty good. His pics look good, though a lot of them are VERY dark.

One of the workers there clearly has no manners, empathy, customer service, or human interaction experience whatsoever. She was so rude. I heard her arguing with one of the other girls about "well I have more power than you". The prices are insane in my opinion. $80 for one portrait sheet?!?!?! On the plus side. I didn't feel out of place. Senior pics=overweight, overworked parents in desperate need of caffeine waiting patiently for their little angels to finish being models for an hour. And I loved all the backdrops they used. Not to mention. 90's jams played the entire time to pacify us aging parents.

The staff members are very unprofessional. 2 girls that are checking in Seniors are gossiping and eating. The worker w/ short dark hair pulled back is discussing a customer who has a retake saying, I don't care. I will handle her. Sounds like they do not appreciate someone not being happy with their photo's. This should be a professional environment, instead it's like a joke Second trip to look at photo's was just as bad.

They opened 5 min late. Employees walking in side door like the place is a hang out. One Employee smoking a cigarette behind the cars then coming in asking if you need help smelling like smoke. Great for our kids. Still a joke. Sad they earned our local schools business.

This company should be ashamed. This is the company we had to use for my daughter's senior pics. We only intended to get the yearbook photo (which is no charge). The "photographers" taking the pics are all young adults and most likely not professional photographers. No parents allowed in the studio. They took about 12 photos total but only 3 are options for the yearbook, none of which are good or flattering (weird angles and poses, and they just don't look like my daughter).

There is one pic in the batch and I would consider ordering for keepsake purposes (too bad we can't select that one for the yearbook) but it is pricey- 80.00 for one sheet. I really want to do re-takes but my daughter doesn't want to go through the process again. I don't entirely blame her, it was a big process getting ready and then driving over 30 min to the studio. I have personally received much better quality photos from J.C. Penney for 9.99. I hope others have a better experience.

Horrible Experience! They double book and can't tell you how long you'll be there. They say it's no charge for senior photos but that's also a lie it's $40 to pick your photo that will be in the yearbook. I wish my daughters school had of chosen a more professional, and organized place for senior photos.

I didnt have to much hope when I saw how this place runs like an assembly line, but I was surprised. They actually got some very good pictures of my daughter that showed her personality. So glad they werent just typical quick poses like most school photos. They are fast too. We were in and out in less than an hour and the photo session was under 20 minutes including 2 shirt changes.

I have a daughter with special needs which the entire staff was very kind and accommodating, so her photo shoot went very smoothly. They even allowed her to hang out in the prop area until her pictures were ready to be viewed. I would highly recommend this photography studio to anyone, especially to parents with special needs kids! Thank you, Lou Coopey for your wonderful and thoughtful gift this holiday season!

I am giving one star because zero stars is not an option. This was the designated location for my daughter's senior yearbook photo. We received a second notice postcard in the mail while on vacation giving us a date and time for her yearbook photo appointment. We had never received a first notification but we were able to make the time and date work because, according to the postcard, it was simply a yearbook photo shoot.

There were specifications regarding what you had to wear for a yearbook photo and so I allowed my daughter to go to the appointment alone so that I would not have to reschedule a doctor appointment. My daughter had an appointment time of 2:30 PM, she texted me upon her arrival at the studio which was approximately 10 minutes early. She said she sat in the waiting room and was then moved to another waiting room and sat and waited for quite a while while other people with later appointments than hers were called back before her.

Once she got into the photography room, she said that the photographer was very flirty and it was quite uncomfortable. After delays, she finally asked him if they could please move along with getting the photos because she had to be to work at 4 PM. As it turned out, she was late to work and was informed before leaving the studio that if we didn't pay a $40 security deposit we could not view the photo online to select the yearbook photo we would have to make another appointment to choose that.

I called and spoke to two different individuals at the photo studio to let them know what had gone on and how unhappy I was with the entire process including the lack of communication. I received multiple apologies but my request to have the possible yearbook photo proofs emailed to me for selection was denied. I received lots of excuses but no real customer satisfaction.

The senior class from our private school had their senior portraits and group photos taken here. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. Candy was beyond amazing. She helped us in every way possible. Thank you so much to all of the staff! The students had an amazing time and are looking forward to receiving their photos. I highly recommend this studio
