Photographic Expressions

In addition to sharing our imagery, a core part of our mission is supporting two philanthropic programs, one preserving Cape Cod's environment, and one promoting healing and resilience. We have embedded these causes into the gallery's spaces and donate 20% of all profits. The rear of the gallery is largely dedicated to building awareness for the Association to Preserve Cape Cod.

These words guide my creative life. During all hours, seasons, and conditions, I frequent Cape Cod's waters to be present in places of beauty and personal meaning. In these moments, I consider myself witness first and photographer second, seeking to remain open to whatever awaits. My imagery allows me to express what I see and feel, but the experiences themselves are my greatest reward.

EXPRESSIONS Gallery, located on Cape Cod at 578 Main St. in Chatham, showcases the coastal photography of Steven Koppel and serves as headquarters for the EDI Institute. Expressions of the beauty of Cape Cod's natural resources, and the importance of their preservation and protection. EXPRESSIONS Gallery is also home for Steve's retreats and seminars and a venue for educational programs focused on photography and the environment. This short video brings the gallery's art and philanthropy to life, including behind the scenes footage of Steve creating imagery in the field.

We have thoughtfully selected museum quality printing and framing options designed to pull viewers into the experience of each image. Minimalist treatments with near edge-to-edge color enhance impact and provide a refined look to match any decor. Aluminum Prints: Dye sublimated aluminum prints exude a unique depth and richness in color, and are finished with a floating wooden frame or mounted frameless for a more contemporary feel.
