My name is Simona Buna and art has been my passion since childhood. Originally from a quaint town in Romania, I was exposed to the many facets of artistic expression by my first teacher: my father. The vivid memories I have of my father sharing his craft with me, guide me still today. As a child, our home was filled with his magnificent work and despite the challenges of living during a time of communist rule, my father instilled his passion for art in me. As my skill for drawing and painting developed, my talents blossomed and were appreciated by others as well.
I later discovered the hobby that would take me down a new and exciting path: photography. It began with snapshots of still life in nature and eventually, as my confidence grew, I realized my images lacked the human element.
