I was disappointed with his work. But he probably puts considerably more effort into sessions with models who look like this new advertisement- consider that this was not the signage when I chose his studio. His prices are low, but as the cliche reads, 'you'll get what you pay for.' Unless you're one of those folks, I would not indulge his political bait.

Steve is a very funny and talented photographer, and he made me laugh a bunch of times to get the best look for my pics. Very helpful at getting me to relax so I could have the best photo movement. Gorgeous studio.a hidden gem! I'll be booking another shoot within the next week. THANK YOU STEVE

Steve is extremely talented and accommodating. He's managed to excellently capture our family, including two large dogs and an uncooperative cat. He does great work.

Mr. Dean did wedding photos for myself and senior photos for my husband years before that. He does an amazing job, works hard just in preparation for the photoshoot going to the sight, if outdoors, multiple days in a row before, just to ensure the lighting will be ok for the photos. He makes amazing albums and gives good rates for his sessions and edits them while enhancing features but not taking from the actual person. My family has gone to Mr. Dean for all needs for professional photography and are looking forward to continuing business with him for a very long time.

I was extremely satisfied with the results of working with Steve. I am a graduating senior from MSU and was not satisfied with the free photos that I had gotten from the University. I wanted a better professional image to appear on my online profile and decided to go with this business. At first I was apprehensive because it's more expensive and I didn't want to be disappointed with the turnout again but it was a chance I'd have to take if I wanted a better image. Luckily, the experience was completely different; Steve made it very relaxed and would take pictures from all angles to get the best image. Also, instead of just taking them and waiting for them in the mail to see after the session you're able to view them there and select the images you want in-session. He's very experienced and knows what he's doing. If you want a professional grade image, I would without a doubt go with Steve's business.

I have practiced law for over 12 years. I had a professional photo done in 2005 by another local photographer, and I walked out with an electronic copy of the photo on CD and having paid $75. In 2010, it was time for an updated photo. I contacted Steve Dean for the job, and I have been absolutely thrilled with the result! I've been posted the photo everywhere I can possibly use a professional photo.

I told Steve that I keep loading the various pages just to see my photo. He took the time to get me comfortable with the process, which may take a little longer than just arranging for a 20-minutes sitting, and then the shots improved dramatically. Steve has a keen eye for a professional, yet warm and inviting, look in the photo. I now refer everyone to Steve Dean Photography for their photographic needs, professional or otherwise.

I paid more than $75, but it was well worth it. Whenever I need the photo in a particular size, for a particular use, or in black and white, I simply contact Steve and request it. He is very quick to deliver. Thank you!

Top to bottom, my experience with Steve was outstanding. My wife and I brought our 5-year-old son to East Lansing on a beautiful fall football weekend at the peak of autumn colors and we thought "wouldn't it be cool if we found someone to take family photos around campus?" We dialed around and Steve was willing to jump in within hours notice. He was more than professional, enthusiastic, creative, and so great with our son.

His use of scenery, natural lighting, and composition were excellent. His pricing was fair (especially given the short notice), we processed quickly, and we have our best family photos to date. We'll use him again and would recommend him to anyone in the area looking for a great family photographer. Great guy!
