John has been a photographer for most of his adult life. John joined the U.S. Navy in 1962 where he was a photographer. After his service to his country, including 2 tours of duty in Viet Nam. In 2003 John closed his walk-in studio and now only does on location photography. This allows him to get better acquainted with his customers and capture the personality of each customer.

Mr. Cheyne worked in a local studio for some time honing his skill as an expert photographer and developer. During this time he developed a keen interest for photography and print enlarging which led him to open a lab for professional photographers. The original lab was opened in 1923. It was situated in a converted chicken coop with only a single enlarger and a few trays of chemicals.

This enables him the time to create portraits that truly grace the walls of his customers as works of art. Tony has received numerous awards and international degrees for his work and frequently teaches photographers across the country.
