My family: 5 year old and 10 year old plus chocolate lab dog had an amazing experience with Monique. She helped with styling and my kids and me. Helped me pick out a dress from her collection and texted me great links for affordable kid dresses. She was great with our dog. Have never done professional pics before this and it was way easier than I thought. Highly recommend

I've had my headshot done many times in NYC and LA, and I have to say: my experience with Monique was my favorite photoshoot yet.
I'm amazed that both sides of her brain are equally strong; she is equally impressive as an artist and as a technician. This enviable balance was apparent throughout the process: she was simultaneously efficient and (when I needed it) indulgent, friendly and professional, playful and practical, prepared and improvisational.
And, since she's also running her own business, it's worth mentioning: she's also organized, communicative, and meticulous.
Needless to say, the whole experience was simple, easy, and rewarding.
I can't say enough good things about Monique. She's a bargain at any price yet her prices are also the best I've seen, anywhere. You can't go wrong with her. Trust me.

Monique Hoppe is absolutely amazing!!! She is brilliant and makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera. I don't like having my picture taken but her warm personality turned this photo shoot into a fun experience. My photos are stunning and I could not be happier! Monique is the best! Ive worked with her twice now for boudoir photoshoots and she makes it a whole experience. Theres plenty of wardrobe to choose from, the studio is super nice and she makes you feel so comfortable. Her guidance with posing and having her hype you up during the shoot helps you feel so confident in your own skin. The photos have always turned out great, even before any editing. Definitely want to reach out if you ever need any photos taken (:

My fiance and I booked with Monique for our engagement photos and we had the best experience. Monique was so kind and professional and her environment was so welcoming. We have never done a photo shoot before, so we were nervous, but Monique made sure we had a great time by making sure we also had fun. She helped us with poses and facial expressions to ensure we had the best quality photos. Her wardrobe selection is also beautiful and she made me feel perfect in any outfit I wanted to try. The final product was absolutely stunning and I cant wait to book with her again!

If I could give Monique 10 stars I would. Monique is a master of her craft and I feel lucky she and her family have found their home in beautiful North County San Diego considering her talent puts her on par or better than talented photographers I have worked with in New York and Los Angeles. Not only does she provide a warm and professional environment but she also shows a clear dedication to her clients. Her systematic and detailed process reminds me that she is trained in tech but found her calling with photography as art. The perfect combination! Blown away by the experience with Monique and her wonderful studio and team.

Monique photographed my maternity and family photos - she is phenomenal! She was so patient with my toddler and she made me feel so beautiful, even though I was not been feeling like my best self during pregnancy. When I was looking for a photographer I had very unique needs. I needed someone who has experience with maternity photos AND brand photography. I needed a cover for my pregnancy fitness program and website photos. I had a clear vision and needed the photos to reflect my brand. Working with Monique for that was the BEST decision. She completely understood what I needed and came up with amazing ideas! I felt like she read my mind. She knew exactly what would work well with my brand - even better than myself!
During the shoot I felt confident, strong, and empowered due to Monique's constant reassurance. She gave so many compliments that I felt like a supermodel (which I am not lol). She gave clear instructions which I loved because there was no awkward moment where I didn't know how to pose. Monique is very detail oriented and will do everything to get the perfect photos. She is very professional and the quality of the photos is incredible!

What a unique and amazing experience I had with Monique from start to finish. She is so patient and professional and I enjoyed every second. I am not a natural at taking photos and she made me feel so relaxed and has an eye for poses and looks. She directed me and was the best hype woman. I felt like a queen with my own make-up artist/stylist and the beautiful dresses at my fingertips. It was so hard to pick between the photos and I am so glad I pulled the trigger on this experience. Monique is a very talented photographer - but you already knew that by seeing her work. The reason to read a review is to know if there is anything you should be concerned about or know - and the answer is no. Monique is everything you want in a photographer. Monique is SO kind, patient, generous and just an overall pleasure to be around. She makes you feel like you are the most important person she will see all day. She spent extra time with us during our shoot because my 1 year old daughter wanted to do everything except take photos, and Monique did not once make us feel rushed or in the wrong. Also, while she is the artist and photographer, she keeps in mind what YOU want for looks and shots (many photographers get lost in their own desires or preferences sometimes).
Overall I just cant say enough good things about my experience with Monique. Do not hesitate to book with her, or youll be like me and wish you found her sooner
