Munising Michigan is a quaint little community nestled among hills on the south shore of Lake Superior in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. It's home to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Grand Island National Recreation Area, numerous waterfalls and millions of acres of National Forest known as Hiawatha. It's a kayaking, biking, hiking, boating, fishing and photographers mecca. The colors of the sandstone cliffs accompanied by the crystal clear waters of Lake Superior simply cannot be duplicated anywhere else.

The most rewarding part of photographing the landscape is that of exploration and discovery. A day in the woods is a good day. Making images to share that experience completes the process and compels me to go back for more. Being surrounded by the beauty of the Upper Peninsula with the Hiawatha National Forest and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in my backyard, inspiration and opportunity abound.
